Starting Small: My Journey to Launching Sapphire Homecare

When I first set out to create my own agency, I imagined launching solo - taking things one step at a time to build a strong foundation. But as my plans evolved, I realised that surrounding myself with the right people made even more sense. Today, I'm proud to say Sapphire is starting with a small, trusted team - and this journey is still just beginning.
Why I Chose a Small-Start Approach
Launching a care agency is no small feat, and going solo originally felt like the safest route. I wanted to stay in control of every detail, set my own standards, and ensure that quality, honesty, and personal care remained at the heart of everything - because who else was going to alphabetise the risk assessments templates at midnight?
But also knew I didn't have to do it completely alone.
As things progressed, I saw the value in teaming up with people who shared my passion and commitment - people I trusted to represent Sapphire with the same heart and values. Working alongside a small team allows us to grow together, keep things personal, and provide reliable care from the very first day.
The Journey So Far
From completing my business plan and policies to preparing for CQC registration later down the line, each step has brought me closer to launching. There have been moments of doubt, mild panic, and dramatic chats with my dog - but also so many signs that this is exactly the right path.
Together with my team, I've been carefully planning how to offer home help services that don't require CQC registration - including companionship, errands, domestic assistance, and more. This not only allows us to stay flexible and compliant, but also keeps things cost-effective as we grow.
What's Next......
Right now, I'm finalising our website, putting the final touches on launch materials, and getting the word out to local communities. I'll be using this blog to share updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and possibly a few tales of me trying to fix the printer with a butter knife and hopefully lots of smiles along the way.
Sapphire may be starting small, but our mission is big - to offer care that's as unique as the people we serve. And we're just getting started.
Client Satisfaction
Ensuring that clients receive a high standard of support is my top priority. I will be gathering regular feedback to continuously improve services and ensure they meet the needs of those we support. Transparency, open communication, and reliability will be at the heart of our approach, ensuring a positive experience for every client.
