Have questions? We've got you.
F&Qs - or as we like to call it, "Stuff people always ask us (and we're happy to answer!)"
Choosing care can feel like a minefield - but don't worry, we're not here to bamboozle you with jargon or sell you something you don't need. Just real answers, from real people, who genuinely care. Here are the things people often ask us (yes, even the awkward ones).
What services do you provide and how do they differ from standard home care?
At sapphire Homecare & Reablement, we offer more than just traditional home care. Our services are designed to empower individuals to live independently and with dignity. In addition to pratical support such as light cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, and companionship, we specialise in reablement-style-care- helping clients regain skills and confidence after illness, injury, or hospital stays. Every care plan is tailored, flexible, and reviewed regularly to meet each person's changing needs, We're here to support your goals, not just maintain routines.
How quickly can care be arranged?
We understand that care needs can sometimes arise unexpectantly. At Sapphire Homecare & Reablement, we aim to respond as swiftly as possible. Once we've had an initial conversation and completed a basic assessment, we can often begin providing non-regulated support services within just a few days - sometimes even sooner depending on availability, For longer-term or more complex support, we'll work closely with you to get everything in place without unnecessary delays. Your peace of mind is our priority.
Will we always have the same carer?
We do our best to provide consistency wherever possible, as we know how important familiar faces and routines are. While you may occasionaly see a different team member - such as during holidays or illness - we aim to keep your care team small and familiar. You'll be introduced to anyone new in advance, and we'll always communicate changes clearly, Continuity and trust are at the heart of what we do.
Do you support people with dementia or complex needs?
Yes, we do. Our team is experienced in supporting individuals living with dementia and those who have more complex care needs. We take a person-centred approach, tailoring each care plan to meet the unique preferences, routines, and health requirements of every client. Whether it's memory support, mobility assistance, or multi-agency coordination, we're here to ensure safe, dignified, and compassionate care every step of the way.
What makes Sapphire Homecare different from other agencies?
At Sapphire, care is personal. We're a small, independent agency built on real-life experience, passion, and a genuine commitment to doing things differently. You won't find a one-size fits all approach here - we see each client as an individual, not a number. Our team takes time to build trust, understand what matters most to you, and deliver flexible support that fits around your life. We also believe in supporting our staff just as much as our clients, creating a respectful and nurturing environment that reflects in the quality of care we provide.
How do you make sure carers are safe and trustworthy?
Your safety and peace of mind are our top priority. All Sapphire carers go through a strict recruitment process which includes enhances DBS checks, face-to-face interviews, reference checks, and comprehensive training. We only select individuals who show genuine compassion and professionalism. Ongoing supervision, spot checks, and regular feedback help us maintain high standards and ensure every carer remains reliable, respectful, and committed to delivering quality care you can trust.
Are you regulated by CQC?
Not yet - but it's in progress! At Sapphire, we're currently focusing on providing non-regulated support services such as companionship, light domestic help, and community support. These services don't require CQC registration. However, we're actively preparing for registration so we can offer personal care and regulated services in the near future. We're building everything to CQC standards from the outset, ensuring we're ready to grow with your needs.
Do you offer emergency or short-notice care?
We'll always do our best to help. If you need care at short notice - whether due to family emergency, hospital discharge, or other urgent situation - we'll do everything we can to arrange support quickly. While we can't guarantee availability, especially outside core hours, we encourage you to get intouch and we'll try our best to accommodate.
How can we get started?
Getting started is simple. Just give us a call or send us a message to arrange a friendly, no-obligation chat. We'll talk through your needs, answer any questions, and if you're happy to proceed, we'll arrange a free home visit to create a personalised care plan. From there, we match you with the right carer and agree on a start date that works for you.
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Leicestershire and currently cover Syston, Birstall, Thurmaston, and surrounding areas. As we grow, we'll be expanding our reach - so If you're nearby and unsure whether we cover your area, just get in touch and we'll be happy to advise.
